We are very pleased to announce a new Engineer.
David Holland joins us from Brasenose College, Oxford, where he studied Geography. Having interned at two fashion magazines and McCann Manchester, David chose to apply for a Marketing Analyst position at The Value Engineers. He is happiest when he can see the sea, and loves fashion, photography and British cars.

We’re very pleased to welcome a new Senior Consultant to our team.
Lou Ellerton joins us with a wealth of experience in brand building. Educated at the University of Oxford, her career spans B2B publishing, brand consultancy, and most recently government communications strategy.
Lou has particular interest in marketing to ‘tweens’ and ethnic minorities and B2B branding and she’s worked across a whole range of markets – from public sector, retail, financial services, food, sport and media.
When she’s not working she also finds time to sit on the board of trustees for a women’s charity, YWCA Central Club, read voraciously and perform in the occasional cabaret!
We’re sure you will hear much more from Lou soon – working on your brands or thinking on our blog!

After the great success of The Value Engineers Kids Launch with CITV recently, this week’s quotations theme is all about kids.
The Value Engineers Kids and CITV have compiled a series of quotations from philosophers, economists, visionaries, comedians and general ‘know-it-alls’ to inspire, amuse and illuminate you with pearls of wisdom about the magic and challenges of working with children….
- “A child can ask questions that a wise man cannot answer” (Anon)
- “21st century children live in a world profoundly different to that of previous generations – they have grown up in an era of rapid technological innovation and accept today’s speed of change as the norm” (Giles Ridge, ITV)
- “Humor helps us to think out of the box. The average child laughs about 400 times per day, whereas the average adult laughs only 15 times per day. What happened to the other 385 laughs?” (Anon)
- “Anyone who thinks children are too small to make a difference has never been in bed with a mosquito” (Nicole McDonnell, Ella’s Kitchen)
- “Kids are predictable…it’s the stimuli around them that’s less predictable” (Dave Lawrence, The Value Engineers Kids)
Borrowed with pride from a The Value Engineers Kids / CITV production. For more information about The Value Engineers Kids, please contact Dave Lawrence.
