Jossie Clayton, consultant at The Value Engineers, comments in this week’s The Grocer in a feature on new celebrity chefs and their brand endorsements.

The article mentions a variety of up and coming celebrity chefs and discusses the credibility of putting their name to products. One example is Tommi Miers, the winner of Masterchef 2005 and co-founder of the Wahaca Mexican restaurant chain.

Jossie comments: “She has credibility with the trade, consumers and the category. Not only did she win Masterchef, she’s created a unique dining experience at Wahaca and she will appeal to brand owners because of her enthusiasm and passion for Mexican food.”
